“Okay I’m there
now. Okay wait! Stop where you are” he said and she stopped there at an
instant. Somehow she was experiencing a flood of emotions. They were too many
at once. There was nervousness, embarrassment, joy, hysteria, magic and insecurity.
What if he sees me and doesn’t like me?
What if he meets and decides to never message me again? What if he sees me and
I don’t know run away? Her sadness was unbearable! “Okay I’ve stopped” she
said trying to sound as normal as she could. “Look to your right” he said on
the call. And there he was, walking towards her with excitement that could be
seen in his eyes. She looked at him and smiled and then cut the phone call.
He
walked coolly with no signs of any sort of tension. Why would he be tensed? He’s
just so, so absolute, so perfect. Like a perfectly cut diamond, iridescent and
glittering in the evening light making everyone realize what a stone they were.
Making her realize what a stone she was. While thinking all this she didn’t
realize how close he was. “Hi” he said.
“Hi” she said. It
was a very awkward situation for her. He smiled at her and she smiled back. I don’t know what to say next, maybe he
feels the same? She thought.
“I love you” he said
without looking away from her eyes. “I love you too” she replied. A smile
splashed into her expressionless face. Their first encounter had become their best.
